DIGITAL CODE SIGNING

Programs that are not “signed” with an authenticode digital signature will be “challenged” when run under Vista and all future Windows operating systems due to User Access Control (UAC). Microsoft has also placed a “lite” version of User Access Control into XP via program updates. Programs that have a digital signature are not “challenged” the same as programs that do not have a digital signature.

CMS software installer programs and even our uninstaller programs are all digitally signed. All our 32 bit software is also digitally signed. (16 bit programs cannot be signed).

CMS uses Microsoft Authenticode technology to ensure that our programs comply with all Windows requirements. This ensures that you have a positive experience and that our software will not present any undue alarms to Microsoft UAC technology. Your IT manager may have configured your system such that a UAC message will appear when any software package is run. We cannot override those settings but we can work with your IT department to solve any UAC issues involving CMS software products.
