Reports Do Not Print |

REPORTS WILL NOT PRINT (Windows) There are several things that can cause a report to not print or to print a "blank" report containing only data headers, but no data.
Ninety per cent of all report problems are solved by doing a data reindex. To perform this step, select MAINTENANCE from the main menu of the program, then select "Clean Up Data And Reindex". When the reindex form appears, click the REINDEX button in the lower left corner of the form. The form will tell you the name of each file as it is cleaned and reindexed and will increment the file count after each file is completed. When you are done, the total file count as of version 5.0.3 is 19. If your file count is less than that, some files were already open and could not be reindexed at this time. Click the STATUS button in the lower left corner of the form. Files that have YES in the DONE column were completed. Files with NO in the DONE column were skipped.
If you are getting "blank" reports with header data only, be sure there is data to report on. After you post receipts or issues, you cannot print the receipt or issue reports because the receipt or issue data tables are now empty. In the main reports menu, you cannot report on historical data until some receipts and/or issues have been entered and posted.
The other major cause of "blank" reports is specifying a data selection that excludes all your data. For example, if you have had the program and been entering data for only one year and then ask for a historical report of data from two years ago, you will (and should) get a blank report.
Likewise, limiting a report to a range of ID numbers or Department numbers for which there have been no transactions posted will also produce a "blank" report.
After selecting your report and setting any necessary range conditions, you should see a form that asks you to select a report destination and allows you the choice of SCREEN or PRINTER or EXPORT.
If you do not see the destination form with SCREEN/PRINTER/EXPORT on it, then try the following. On the CD there is a folder named BKUP. In this folder is a second copy of the program executable, SR5WIN.EXE and some additional files. Move the following files from the CD BKUP folder to your program folder (probably C:\CMSSR50).
SR5WIN.EXE SR5WIN.INI RRWRUN.EXE RRWRUN.HLP RRWENG.DLL RRWRENG.DLL RRWKSX.DLL RRWPD.DLL REPORTS.RP5
Do not move any other files from the CD to your hard disk, or you could cause the program to operate in an abnormal manner.
If this does not correct the problem, contact CMS and ask for a new copy of RRWRUNIN.DBF to be e-mailed to you. (This file is in the BKUP folder on your CD for Versions 5.03F and later).
