Condition

Error Message that Contains the statement:

 

Variable Does Not Exist: MTM

 

Action

1. Contact your organization's PC expert. Give that individual this FAX.

2. Enter the program directory for the CMS software.

3. At the DOS prompt type the following EXACTLY as shown!: DEL *.NTX

4. From your original New Install diskettes copy the appropriate file into the directory for that program.

Stockroom Inventory:

STUFF.MEM

Purchase Order Tracker:

POSTUFF.MEM

Asset Tracker:

STUFF.MEM

Maintenance and Calibration:

STUFF.MEM

Bid Manager:

STUFF.MEM

 

1. Execute the appropriate CMS Program to create the index files for that program.

 

Example for Stockroom Inventory steps 3 to 6:

CD \INV

COPY A:STUFF.MEM

DEL *.NTX

STINV

If the above steps do not solve the problem, the cause for this error may also be a problem with your hard disk's File Allocation Table. This problem is not caused by the CMS software and it can affect any or all of the programs on your hard disk. This is a serious problem that should be fixed AT ONCE and prior to entering any data into any program on your computer.

 

Perform disk diagnostics and perform the steps necessary to correct the hard disk's File Allocation Table.
