The following line needs to appear in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file:. SET CLIPPER=F61;E00 (E zero zero)
The CONFIG.SYS file must contain the following two lines: FILES=61 BUFFERS=41 Note: Win95/98 machines do not need the ";E00". Buffers can also be set to 10.
After installation reboot your computer and at the DOS prompt type:
SET
Look for a statement CLIPPER=F61;E00. If it is not there edit the AUTOEXEC.BAT and enter it. If it is there make sure it executes by moving it before any WIN, MENU, DOSSHELL or LOGON command. Reboot and at the DOS prompt type:
SET
If you see the CLIPPER=F61;E00 the program should operate correctly. Tips: When installing Stockroom Inventory and Purchase Order Tracker, install Stockroom Inventory first. Check your configuration then execute Stockroom (Type STINV). The Index files will then be created. Exit Stockroom and install Purchase Order Tracker. Answer "NO" to all the prompts wanting to modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files, these changes were already made during the Stockroom install. Start Purchase Order Tracker, enter the Maintenance Menu and select the option to integrate Purchase Order with Stockroom Inventory.
