Barcode Installation fails

This disk installs Barcode Remote Entry. On some machines the selection box text does NOT blink. The selected entry has a white background and black text. Normally the black text will blink. The install program ALWAYS starts up with Barcode remote entry selected. If this is the program you want to install, just press enter. If you want to install Keyboard Remote Entry, press the down arrow key and then press enter.
During the install process, there are three DAT files on the floppy disk that get renamed and then, when the install is completed, they are changed back to their original names for the next install. Sometimes the final rename step does not complete.
If there is a problem during the install, some of the install files on the floppy disk may not be renamed to their original status. Before install starts there are three DAT files on the disk. These are IN1.DAT, IN2,DAT and INSTALL.DAT. Their sizes and names are shown below.

If a previous install completed all but the renaming step you may find three files with the right names, but the wrong file sizes. You may even find a file named IN3.DAT in place of INSTALL.DAT. To get the program to work again, you need to rename the three files to the names shown above. Check the file sizes to be sure you are changing the name of the correct file.
